Verification tiers
Every published number carries a coverage tier, a confidence label of 0, 1, or 2, stating how much of the underlying is verified. Money settles on tier 2.
| Tier | Means | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Computed from public chain state only | on chain reads, no corroboration |
| 1 | Loss events corroborated by public reporting | on chain plus sourced reporting |
| 2 | Loss reconciled against attested records | on chain plus the protocol’s own records |
On a live market the book, the loan coupons, and the collateral status are verified on chain. The historical loss record is mostly public reporting, marked as such, and not yet checked deal by deal, so it carries a lower tier than the live book. The tier travels with the number.
